How to support a Pregnant Pal
Your best friend has just told you their amazing news - they're expecting a bubba! And you want to be there for them every step of the way? Whether you have your own family or have no clue about pregnancy, there are so many ways you can support your pregnant pal, and enjoy the journey with them.
So, here's my guide on how to support your pregnant pal every step of the way.

Keep in touch
Pregnancy can be a lonely place, so make sure you're keeping in touch just as much. Don't forget to ask how she is feeling, perhaps sending small gifts to lift spirits during morning sickness bouts!
Ask lots of questions too, so she has support during every step and be a part of those thrilling first moments, such as the first time you feel your baby move or the first time you see them on a scan.
This is a great opportunity to ask if she has set up a pregnancy journal yet? They are great for keeping now of those milestones, and something to cherish and look back on when bubba is here.
Discuss boundaries
If you're lucky enough to have your own children, you have a pretty good idea of what's to come over the coming months of pregnancy, and that all-important delivery too. Chat to her and see if she wants to discuss all things pregnancy, labour and life with a bubba. Some women, me included, did not want to discuss labour stories, horror stories or what to expect. But some women find it comforting to know what could happen. It's best to check with her before you start talking stitches and your mum's friends' experience!
Help prepare for bubbas arrival
With so much on the market for bubbas, and not 100% knowing what's best to buy, your pal will probably feel *slightly* overwhelmed. Helping her make sure she has everything she needs can help ease anxiety and show your love and support.
A fantastic idea is a baby shower register ,so any gifts from friends and family can be useful and ease the financial pressure off those all-important necessities. Whilst it's lovely to have clothes and teddies if money is tight, a baby shower register is a fantastic addition.
Ensure that they have a good time!
Finally, go the additional mile once in a while and make certain she takes time for herself during this exciting time. Head out on lunch dates when she's not too tired, or have a Netflix and Chill night in with plenty of snacks if the bump is taking its toll.
